Oceanfront Condo Question

I am a fairly new owner of a couple of oceanfront condos that are vacation rentals. I am happy with the price I paid and the cash flow, but the only concern I have is long term. Any opinions as to whether these types of properties appreciate long term as well as other income producing properties? Compared against a single family residence?

I understand the specific location and property have a lot to do with the actual answer...but I am more interested in general thoughts.
