Question about house with solar panels.
I am looking to purchase a house. The seller has solar panels on his house that he is making a small monthly payment on each month for approximately $135. If I had to pay the panels off which is still around $20,000 it would make this house not a deal. I would not want to Formally assume these payments, because I may sell this property with owner financing in the future and not keep it as a rental only. Has anyone had any experience with taking over the payments of someone else’s solar panel?

It is a big problem for the seller and if you assume that responsibility that problem becomes yours and makes the house much more difficult to sell. Most of the time a seller will end up paying the panels off before sale because it can be difficult to find a buyer with a mortgage if they insist on someone assuming the payment, especially if it is a lease.
