First time Home Buyer

Hello, 

I am 28 years old, I rent in warwick NY 10990 and I am about to buy my first house. I am a carpenter/HVAC mechanic with a steady job (West Point, NY) and a small side business(S-corp). I recently was approved for a mortgage and I am looking for something I can live in while I fix it up. My goal is to find a multifamily or 3 bd single family and create a steady rental income. 

I understand the market is high in 10990 but my lease is up and i need somewhere to live!!
