Big Cities vs. Suburbs

Just read an interesting article on Bloomberg about the economy in Post Covid world and curious to hear what people think.

Mortgage rates are at an all time low and there are some people who will be paying less in monthly payments (taxes, insurance, interest and principle) than in rent and the Suburbs have seen an influx of people buying homes. Most of these homes are going to experience or have experienced bidding wars.

However according to the article wouldn't giving up on urban areas is a bad idea. Facebook just purchased huge space in Manhattan, Amazon is purchasing space in New York as well. Big cities like San Francisco still have tech companies that are producing a some jobs.

In a Post Covid world, more people will have jobs that will allow them to work from home. However does this kill the Urban city? Just curious
