Buying a property with unpermitted bathroom addition
I am looking into purchasing a property in the Alameda county and the seller disclosed an unpermitted bathroom addition that was added by the owner before them. I had two questions here:
1. Can I close the escrow and then retroactively acquire the permit? Have people been successful with this?
2. Do the appraisers (for financing) consider the unpermitted addition?
