Patchwork on ceiling in condo

Hi,

My partner and I are interested in purchasing a 1b 1ba condo. Yesterday we went to look at the property and noticed a lot of patchwork on the ceiling in both the bedroom and living room. The unit is on the fourth floor (only 4 floors of entire building). Does anyone know what this could mean? We’re thinking a major leak or problems with the roof. We are wondering if this is something we should be concerned about and exactly what this means?

Note: condo is fully renovated + turnkey.

@Alicia Collins I would be concerned and ask the seller. If they say the roof has been fixed, I’d ask for some kind of receipts or proof that it’s been repaired.

Condos are always hard because things like roofs are fixed by the HOA, and there can be repairs on repairs in repairs when it should have been replaced years ago. Or maybe it already has!?
