Real Estate Developer

My neighbor is selling all of her property and our home (with land) is in the middle of her property. The land developer contacted us and has showed us the plans to build over 200 homes and in the plans it shows our property in the middle of all of these homes (picture uploaded, we are the white dot in the middle).  We moved here 26 years ago with our 3 daughters. We don't want to move (it was my husbands grandparents land also).  What are suggestions?  We have thought of selling to developer. Renting it out without selling (we don't want to be surrounded by 200 homes).  We were just told today (told this is all happening within a year). Neighbor hasn't said a word before now. We are in shock. Any suggestions or advise welcome!
