Yellow letters to Multifamily owners

Hi

Did anyone have success acquiring deals through sending yellow letters or post cards to multi-family owners. I am thinking of sending post cards to owners of 2 to 8 units in my county to see if anyone is interested in selling. Did anyone have success doing this? I am not able to find many deals in this category through MLS, Craigslist or other real estate sites. When I download real estate data from my county I can see several 100s in this category but I am not able to find a single deal. Please advice. Also, if you are using post cards/yellow letters can you please let me know your go to company for this. Appreciate all your help!
