First time walking through a duplex of a potential deal

I am in the process of getting my first duplex that I plan on house hacking. Within the next week I am going to go check out a few of the properties I have narrowed my search down to. These properties range from one of them being a minor fixer upper to the rest being pretty good condition. How should I prepare and what should I be looking for as I walk through these properties?
