I just looked at a home to purchase today and when I spoke with the realtor a few concerns came up. The house received some flooding from hurricane Irene a year and half ago and has a mold issue in the basement (will have to remove flooring and dry wall). The agent said it is once in a life time flooding issue. Also she informed us that there was two inspection of the septic and one reported problems and the other said it was alright. She did not have much information about the septic outside of this word of mouth story. The house itself was originally listed at $230 before it got flooded and now s listed at $100K. It is not a short sale, the property is owned by a lady who owned it with her husband prior to there divorced (divorce being the reason for the home to be sold). Being that she is the one selling the house shouldn't there be information on septic?
