Being your own realtor without Brokerage affiliation in Florida?
Hello all, my husband and I are looking to purchase investment properties in the not too distant future as well as buying a new home. Since I currently have a great deal of time on my hands, I am willing to take the realtor exam and get my license. Yet I have no desire to be affiliated a brokerage firm or sell properties. I would only do this to be our own realtor. Can I be my own realtor in Florida, specifically the Miami area and NOT be affiliated to a Brokerage firm? Would I have access to the MLS just because I get my license or does access only come when affiliated with a brokerage firm? Can you have access to MLS independently? I'm guessing there would be some fees involved, can anyone shed some light?
Thank you in advance,
A Alen-Martinez
