Best neighborhoods to buy 300k rental near Gilbert or Mesa AZ
Hi All,
I’ll be selling a property in Connecticut and looking to invest the proceeds in a rental property in Arizona. I’ll be looking in the $285k - $310k range. I’m thinking on the east side of Phoenix around Mesa/ Gilbert. Anyone have a favorite neighborhood to invest in?
I’m used to investing in single family houses but would entertain other options if the market dictates it.

@Terry Fox Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, and Chandler all offer properties that could fit your criteria. Many of them will be single-family detached on smaller lots with 3-4 bedrooms, 2 car garage, and fairly new. We targeted and found a decent performing 4-Plex yesterday for an investor.
As a property manager and broker in this area, I can confirm the rental demand is very high. We have zero vacancies and have been consistently raising the rents.
