Does people still prefer carpet in the bedrooms?
I have a house it’s a two-story house. And the downstairs has zero carpet all tile flooring. The upstairs has all carpet except for the bathrooms. The upstairs is approximately 1700 ft.². Our flooring guy gave us a bid for $4000 to put carpet upstairs. For that kind of money I was thinking should I do a floating floor like locking vinyl planks or something similar? Does anybody have any experience knowing if Carpet is the best choice? I personally have zero carpet in my residence, but that’s me and I didn’t know if other people want carpet. I know Carpet is a lot faster to install. I am getting this house ready to sell.
If anybody has any experience or insight please let me know. For that matter if someone knows of another flooring person that does great pricing and good work let me know that too. Thanks

I use carpets in bedrooms if the units are stacked (someone else's bedroom is above another unit). If its a townhome or 2 floor unit then I use LVP as the noise would just be generated by themselves.
