Gated community information
Good evening,
I was hoping to pick the brain of some people who have knowledge on gated communities, HOA amounts you've seen, construction hurdles (special permits/zoning, etc). This idea comes with the knew "defund the police" and a lot of states moving to get rid of qualified immunity officers will be much less hands-on leading to more crime even in affluent communities. I am an officer in an affluent town and have noticed this uptick violent crime even in these areas.
I feel the new trend for the affluent will be these gated communities with private deputized security and/or highrise condos with private front desk security. There aren't many in Massachusetts so I could see these being very desirable for people wanting to distance themselves from the public.
Any information you may have on this topic is welcome.
Respectfully,
Paulo Dasilva
