How Should I get started

Good afternoon folks,

I am wondering what the best course of action is to get started in real estate. I am highly interested in owning a rental house, either single family or a townhouse. Currently I don't have much for cash because I was focusing on eliminating debt. Also, I would like a turnkey property or something close to it because I don't have many fixing skills. A few facts about my situation: I don't have much cash, I own my own home with a mortgage), I live just south of St. Paul, MN. Should I just save up cash for a few months and see what I can do after that, or is there something else I can do?
