Real Estate Commission Credit

Hi Bigger Pockets Community,

I have a scenario that I wanted to get your input on. My agent listed my home and we accepted an offer of $2M. While we were in contract the buyer's agent sent over an addendum stating that they would be applying 1% of their commission to the purchase price of their clients home. (Buyers agent full commission is 2.5%) As such the addendum reflects a new purchase price of $1,980,000. If the purchase price reduced $20k due to buyer agent providing credit against purchase price then how would I be made whole based off the original $2M offer we accepted? Is there an adjustment done by title at closing? Thank you in advance for your help and input.
