Investing in Alaska this summer

Eric Andersen
Posted

Hi All!

Is anyone investing in Alaska? If so, multi family or vacation rental? Where are some of the best spots in the state for cash on cash return?

I've been to Anchorage and Fairbanks a handful of times and will be headed up again this summer. Seriously considering buying a rental up there and curious where some of the better areas are for cash on cash return. Also looking at Sitka and Juneau.

@Eric Andersen - probably wisest to start where you are tbh. @Keenan Fitzpatrick I think you gave some sound input there brother - but risk is not just when you don't know what you're doing - it also comes when you live in the real world. Plenty of people knew what they were doing up until a pandemic took the world by storm. Others knew what they were doing when a partner embezzled their funds (etc. etc.) - risk is inherent in life. We work to minimize them - but they're out there :)
