For sale by owner, no realtor!

Hi I am in Indiana and new to investing. I have found a duplex that is for sale by owner and they are not wanting to work with a realtor. This is out of my comfort zone, thoughts? Is this hard to do without a realtor?

Here is another way to go if you aren’t comfortable going it along. The seller may not want to work with a Realtor, but that shouldn’t stop YOU from working with a Realtor. The seller is probably trying to save paying the commission — that’s wht fsbo’s do... instead, offer to hire your realtor and you directly pay a commission (negotiate it since the deal is already there). So at closing, instead of commissions coming out of the seller’s funds, it would come out of yours, ie you have to bring more cash to close

But bottom line, you’d have a realtor to help you with the transaction.
