Rent Stabilized Building in Brooklyn, NY

Timothy Sammon
Posted

Looking to possibly buy a 6 family property in Brooklyn, NY that was previously my Aunts who passed away. She lived in one apt till a few years ago and it along with a second apartment That she used for storage in building have been empty for quite some time.  The Four other apartments are occupied and tenants are rent stabilized. Does anyone know how it would work if I wanted to rent out the two empty apartments, could I get market rates for them? Would give me a better idea of whether it would be a wise investment, as the four other tenants pay less than $1,000 per month on a 2 bedroom apartment. Thank you.
