Net proceeds calculation method

Posted

Hi, when selling a home with a partner and there's a profit is the right way to calculate how much each partner receives is to use the ROI calculation?

Partner 1 total expenses $30,000 + Partner 2 total expenses $45,0000 = Investment expenses $75,000

Net sale proceeds $60,000

Partner 1: 30,000/75,000= .40%

Partner 2: 45,000/75,000= .60%

Partner 1 return: 40% of $60k = $24,000

Partner 2 return: 60% of $60k = $36,000

Appreciate your help!
