Question regarding fixer upper

So I have a single family home in Joliet that I'm trying to sell. It's a fixer upper that's in serious need of some major renovations. Told a realtor about this the other day and she said that she knows someone who might be interested in purchasing it and then asked if I'd agree to having her get a commission, which I agreed to.

Now someone suggested that I can just sell the house myself directly to an investor without having the realtor involved as the middleman so that I don't have to give them a cut and I can keep more of the profits. Is that feasible? How should I go about it?
