Yes, That Just Happened...(Inspection Issue)

We've been fixing houses for a long time now in multiple cities and for lots of different exit strategies. Even though we have had thousands of inspections done on properties, we've never before had to face this issue! I am quoting directly from the inspection report that just came across my desk:

"The door bell did not operate properly at the time of inspection. The doorbell dings, but did not dong. The door bell should be serviced."

I get it that many people feel inspectors sometimes try to "justify" their existence by looking for every little thing. Sometimes that appears to be true. I personally have no problem with inspections or inspectors and we even have it in our contract that investors can order inspections on every purchase so there is always third party verification. But, IMO, this "urgent issue" is way over the top!

Any one else had crazy line items on their inspections that beat that one?

You must be selling high-end stuff...none of my entry-level buyers expect a DONG at our price points.
