Syndication advice needed.
Hello...
I invested with a company that does, what I believe is called, syndication. The apartment building I invested in was sold over a year ago and I have recieved nothing except excuses. There is finally now some communication and I need advice on what to ask for to make sure I will be paid fairly.
The first property I invested in (with the same company) paid well after 2 years without any problems so I chose another apartment building to invest in with them.
I did not receive info about how many partner/investors there are or the percentage I own of the LLC. I have received no closing papers or K1 or any other way to see what I am owed.
I have only invested previously in my own SFRs.
It appears they have used my money from one property/LLC and used it in another property without my permission. They now want me to sign agreeing to leave my money their other property and then they say they will pay me when it sells. They have sold several other properties since mine without paying me so I don't know how I can trust them. I have spoken to several other investers in this property. Some have received capital but not their "return". Others, like me, have received nothing.
I'm a newbie at syndication. I sure could use some experienced, knowledgeable, advise on how to communicate with them.
Would appreciate any help.

When you sent the money any agreement whatsoever. I would advise them you want your capital back plus whatever was promised and each party goes thier separate way and could even do it as. A settlement. You could give them a time period to pay it every month xyz dollars or lump sum and bye. I would not want to be tied to these folks any longer
