Referrals Fees Between Out of State Agents

Can a Florida realtor receive a referral fee from a New York realtor or broker?  I reside and work in Florida and have an extensive network in New York in which I will be referring real estate deals to a broker up there, but I just want to make sure that we are following the rules regarding referral fees.

Yes licensed individuals in different states can pay referral fees to other licensed individuals. Like all income related to real estate sales, the payment is from broker to broker, and disseminated to the licensee under the terms of their independent contractor agreement.
