Where Have You Had Success with Handymen?

I am closing on my home in less than 2 months. This is going to be a house hack. I obviously have plenty of pictures and videos of my home, but I don't entirely know what I need to do to get it to be attractive to other renters. I know my first step is probably to figure that out and then bring in a handyman to walk around and give me an estimate.

How did you figure out what needed to be done on the home?

and...

Where can I find affordable handymen that can also do quality work?

If I lived in a large metropolitan area like Boston I would go to as many REI meetups as I could. People that you meet there should be able to point you to a good handyman. In my rural area the best place for me to find people to help is my local real estate agent.
