Buying property in TX as foreigner
Hey all!
I'm looking to buy property in the US as a foreign investor and currently have my eyes on Texas.
At this moment I have about 150k saved up in USD.
Since I do not have a SSN or credit score there is no easy way of getting a mortgage that I could find.
My current plan is to buy a single family home worth around 100k and rent this out.
To be able to get a loan for a second property my plan is to use my LLC, (Where the first property will be in) get an EIN and build a credit score here. From what I have read it is possible to get a EIN mortgage, the rate on this is higher than average sadly but I have not found another solution yet.
Any thoughts on this? Am i missing something or seeing something wrong? Are there more ways to secure a mortgage as foreigner? My ideal start would be to get a duplex, I have yet to find one in my budget.
Thank you for reading, really appreciate it!
