Need advice on Purchasing Model Home

There are allot of pro's of buying a model home such as its move-in ready, plenty of upgrades, and also there is the flip side of con's such as rushed construction, slightly used etc. My question and major concerned is what and how does it affect the appraised value since it's potentially the most expensive model in the newly developed home in the neighborhood. How quickly will the value go up since most home in the area need to catch up? Doesn't the comps work against us? Need some direction on whether to pull the trigger. The home is a Richmond home valued at $370K and is in the Colorado Springs, CO area. Thanks.
