Stock Market vs. Multi-Family (before a recession)

For those of you who also invest in the stock market, what are your strategies for being well-positioned during the next market correction?

For example, if we knew for a fact that a recession was coming this year, would you advise selling stocks and investing in multi-family? Continuing to invest in both?

Or maybe move everything to cash and buy up properties after the RE market slows or dips?

I'm curious who would consider multi-family investments more protected during times of recession?
