Where to seek out financial partners

Hi all,

Where do you all go about finding financial partners to help fund your deals?

I have some deals I want to strike on, however the down payment requires more cash than I can out up on my own. Obviously, family, friends etc.. is the logical start point, but otherwise are there any particular meetups or centralized discussion regarding seeking financial partners?

Any advice from those who have had success doing so would be greatly appreciated.
