REO with pool rehab expenses

Hi everybody, I am looking into an REO with a pool, everything is as-is. It is a bit cracked on the top cement, I think that might be fine. I was wondering if anybody had experience with buying a pool without knowing if it works or not, and whether the risk is too high due to the potential costs in fixing an in-ground pool.
