Trust deed auction?? Need help asap please

Hi.  I am interested in a property that is going up for auction Tuesday (I just found out about it).  It was my grandfather's farm, so the interest is very personal.  The auction company I found it listed with said it would be auctioned off at the court house steps, and if it didn't sell there, then the auction company would get it and have a 3 day online auction.  They also said that even though it has already been foreclosed, that the current owner and the bank could still work something out and then the auction would be canceled.  Does all of that sound correct to you guys?

Is there any way for me to contact the foreclosing bank and talk to them about a possible solution, ie me buying it instead of it going to auction?  Any help greatly appreciated!!
