What is the Best Way to Find your First Buy?

Hi!

I am new to real estate investing and currently still in college. I live in Cleveland and am looking for a single family property to buy, possibly fix up, and rent out. I have been reading books and educating myself on real estate, however I am eager to DO! I do not really have many connections yet, nor do I have any inside information on properties, or know a good real estate agent. I am wondering where the best place to start looking as a first time buyer is? Any advice or stories about how you came to buy your first property would be appreciated as well!

Hi Jack! And Welcome!

Jerry Norton on YouTube has a lot of great material on how to do this. If you are just getting started, it still is possible to find good deals on the MLS if you are quick. You can also often negotiate a slightly better deal by contacting the listing agent and asking them to represent you in the transaction so they are able to keep the full commission.
