Rely on an agent or get your own real estate license

I am a newbie and still searching for my first deal.  I have been able to find some good agents in the area where I want to invest, based upon the amount of real estate that they have sold in recent years, but am finding that they are not really willing to help investors and are slow at answering questions and turning things around.

I am sure that others have had similar experiences, and I am wondering whether it's a good idea at this point to get your own real estate license.  Based upon some of the podcasts that I have listened to in the past, it seems that some of the others have obtained their own license in their journey, and am willing to bet that they likely faced similar challenges.  Having a full time job, not sure what type of commitment and fees are involved.

All thoughts are welcome...Thanks!
