Realtor Vs Wholesaler?

Hello BiggerPockets!
    My name is Sam and I am a Realtor and investor. I have been looking to build my client/ buyers list with investors, but it seems investors typically prefer to work with wholesalers when looking for deals. Have any other realtors out there had issues with this? I've had some issues in the past attempting to wholesale as a realtor. Might there be a way that I could couple the two? I'm eager to hear from you and open to any and all suggestions.
