Hello Fellow Investors!!

I currently reside in San Diego ,CA I was raised and lived here most my life with that comes a good understanding of my real estate market and the area, but I have realized I can get a way better return on my money investing  out of state. I identified Las Vegas,NV as a great area to buy and hold Multi Family properties now my question to you guys is ,what steps and process do you take to do your due diligence to understand a real estate market you don't live in and know nothing about ?

I always say you can invest in any market you know - so get to know the market you want to invest in. I second having folks on the ground you know and trust. I look at demographic data and get to know price to rent ratios. If you want MF you also have to understand where that MF is actually located and the price to rent ratios there. Find an agent and/or other experienced investors who can point you in the right direction.
