Bad Realtor-Please Help
Hi everyone,
So I've been trying to get rid of a mobile home and I hired a realtor who said he'd help me for a $2,500 flat fee. He failed to mention that he was also tacking on about $4,000 in charges on top of that. It's my fault for not combing through the contract, but it's my first time doing this and he swindled me. If he were to sell the house, he'd be getting around 20% or more of our profit which is insane. The home is only worth around $30,000. On top of that, the guy has been a total idiot, never responds to my calls and pretends like he is above us and we are just idiots. Can I get rid of him legally without paying him a dime? He claimed if we wanted to part ways I'd have to pay him $2,800 to reimburse him for advertising costs. The whole thing is a nightmare. I feel like he has really failed to help me and is avoiding even talking to us. Any suggestions?

this is typical for low cost hard to sell real estate.. I commonly charged 15 to 30% to sell that cheap and hard to sell property. I mean really who is going to list and sell a 30k prop for 6% you have to be a fool to do that.. your better off flipping burgers.
