Duplex remodel financing product options
Hello all...I purchased a duplex in South Carolina last year for about $50k cash. Since then I have had some health setbacks that kept me out of the game and set me back a little financially. Now that I am back on my feet, I need this property finished and occupied. I am looking for options to finance the remodel. The property is a shell with solid roof and brick exterior and I estimate it to take about $100k to finish with a conservative ARV of $250k and expected total rent of $3k/month. I don't have enough cash, or equity in my primary to finish the project. Hard money would be an option, but not my first choice. I have been told that a house hacking live-in [homestyle/203k] is risky or not doable since we own the property outright and currently own and live in another property nearby.
Are there any other loan product options out there?
Thanks in advance!
