Chicago Home: Rent or Sell?

Hi BP friends,

My husband and I are relocating from Chicago to California and we are looking for high level opinions on whether to sell or rent our condo in the next couple of months. We've heard from everyone that it's a buyers market and so do you guys think it's worth trying to sell right now or rent out for a while and ride out the next recession? If we rent, it's a whole other story as we have never been landlords.
