Poa in Washington state

I have signed my wife as my poa and we have used this to purchase a property once already the title company is saying they wont except it cause it's not notarized by a attorney is this legal?  We are nearing the end of our purchase and sale agreement and could lose the deal if we dont close on time. The title company has had this file for over 2 months and just told us today 4 days from closing they wont honor it?
