Hello BP,

Buyer hired the home inspector and did the home inspection. One of the items in the inspection was a clogged bath tub drain. We hired a handyman to clean the clogged drain. They did a final walkthrough before the closing. I got the following from the buyer.

We Buyer spent first night in the home two days ago and woke up the following morning with the whole kitchen ceiling caved in and water everywhere from the tub drain being rigged. Buyers are already seeking legal action if this is not resolved.

 Any suggestions will be helpful.

Thank you

I think I would address this issue even though technically it''s not your house anymore. The old "golden rule" should apply to this situation and if you had just moved into this house and this was the first "welcoming event" consider how you would feel.
