Quit Job - Traveling - Now Ready to Buy - Possible?

Hello,

I will be moving to Nashville area in January 2020 and I will be looking to purchase my first home. However, I have some concerns about applying for a loan.

I have worked over 7 years with one employer as a project manager in the construction industry making over $145,000 annually in California. I quit my job as of August 2019 to spend time traveling around the world. I will be moving to Nashville area in January as this is where my brother resides.

Will I be able to apply for a loan if upon arrival I am unemployed?

I will have $50,000 cash available upon arrival in Nashville dedicated to investments with a healthy credit score above 770.

Appreciate any advise.

Charlie
