Texas - Obtaining a RE License for Personal Investing

Hi Everyone! I am new here and looking for some advice on if my plan is reasonable or not, all input is appreciated!

I currently have one rental and in the past I have flipped a home. I would like to become much more active buying homes and I am interested in getting a RE license so that I can access the MLS, show myself homes, write offers, save a bit on commissions, etc. I have a full time software job and I'm not interested in selling real estate for other people, I would mostly be buying properties and renting them, occasionally I would sell a property I own. Is getting my RE license worth it for these benefits? I understand that I would have to get a broker to sponsor me. Is it possible that I could get a broker to sponsor me if I was only going to be bringing them commissions on deals I do personally? I don't see myself ever marketing RE services to others outside of close friends.

Thanks!
