Suspicious Covenant, how do we find out more about it?
The house we want to buy in Monroe County, PA comes with a one page covenant that is supposed to be from the 1800's. We suspect there is more to this Covenant than we're told. The title of the covenant looks brand new, like it was added recently, and there is no designation as to how many more pages come with it. Is there a place where the original covenant resides? Would it be the County Courthouse? We want to avoid spending money on a lawyer to do such search, and don't mind doing it ourselves. We also don't want to depend on our real estate agent, as he doesn't appear helpful on this. What does the Bigger Pockets recommend for the course of action?
Thank you for your advice!
