Purchasing foreclosure property owner occupied

This past year I purchased a foreclosed property through Auction.com The purchase price was attractive for the area. The downfall was the owner occupied the house through the sale ,closing and beyond. Trying cash for keys and other tactics it was day in court and $7500 to convince the owner to leave after 3 months.Has anyone encounter this situation and how was it resolved.
