Who’s investing in Southern California??

Happy Sunday BP,

I currently reside in Southern California. I grew up in the area, love the area, and I’m considering buying a second property.

When reading the forums, I see a lot of post about investing out of state, even from SoCal people.

My questions:

do people invest out of state strictly because of affordability and cash flow?

Do people wish they can invest in SoCal but don’t because of home prices?

I understand California appreciate will rise more rapidly compared to other states, which I’m ok with because my strategy is long-term wealth.

But the idea of investing out of state with small cash flow and appreciate doesn’t get me too excited.

What I’m I missing people? I would love to get feedback from people that have taken a leap of faith in out of state investing.

Thanks
