Online auction houses only close 11% of their listings

There are so many reasons why properties don't sell on auction sites like H&M and Auction.com.  I recently learned that because a lot of the loans are insured, it's in the bank's best interest to not offload a lot of the properties on their books.  The catch is that the properties must be inhabitable because otherwise the insurance will not pay out.  This creates an opportunity if you're able to demonstrate that they aren't in fact inhabitable.
