New Real Estate Investor | Delaware
I am new to the Investment Class of Real Estate.
I have been an investor in the stock market, however I would like to diversify and hold a tangible asset - Real Estate is my next move.
I am from Delaware and know that Trolley Square will always have an abundance of quality renters, however it will realistically require a 200-300k investment. I am looking to invest 80-150k for my first property.
For work, I am rarely back in DE as I travel managing commercial construction projects - however I have a strong support system back home to help manage the investment.

Is anyone an investor in the DE market(s) who would be willing to shed some light on other popular market or up & coming areas?
Would love to discuss on this message board, or to connect offline.

I largely echo @Donte Handy regarding checking out the DelREIA facebook page. That having been said, if you're willing to use that money as a standard 20% down payment than I would look at the side streets coming off Market street where BPG is redeveloping downtown. The closer you are to Midtown Brandywine the more pricey things will be and then the further south you go down market prices will drop until you get closer to Chase and the waterfront. There are also grant monies available if you get into a redeveloping project in this area, but it's just a matter of what you're looking to do
