What would you do if you had 10 years to turn 5k into 10k/mo.

I have no realestate investing experience but I have read many books and done a ton of research.

$5k to invest at the moment.

Dual military living in Hawaii and able to save 3k/mo over the next 3 years or so.

Within the next 10 years I would like to generate a passive income of 10k/mo or more.

Not really interested in investing here in Hawaii as it is really expensive and doesn't seem to be much room for beginners.

Not looking to get rich quick. Will gladly partner just for the experience and to start a portfolio.

We see ourselves owning a few multifamily properties. Not opposed to other properties like mobile home parks.

Do you think that this can be done? What would you do? How would you start?
