Impact of Real estate Market on Economy

Can anybody here recommend me any articles or books that focuses on real estate and the economy. I want to better understand when is real estate overvalued or undervalued, and what causes that to happen. I want to buy real estate in the future, but I want to have a better understanding of not only the real estate market, but the impact that certain legislation's, policies, taxes, etc may have on the real estate market.
