Buying House is good or bad - family perspective

Hi 

Im from Ottawa, Canada . Im a real estate investor 

I have family with two kids ( 7 year and 4 year). 

We are buying the owner occupied detached house for CAD 533K with 20% down payment near good school and location in Ottawa (Bharheaven). 

This is a Liability . 

Is it a good or bad option to buy owner occupied house for family purpose please ?
